I was literally three blocks north of total coverage here in St. Louis. I did get to see the shadow bands on the ground. I got videos of those and I will post them later.
Nice, we got a bunch of clouds here at the peak time for coverage, I got some pictures of it, and blindness.

We had no cloud cover here. It was actually really fun to watch.

It started to roll in from the west pretty heavily...

We didn't get much of a change... It got slightly darker outside, but nothing noticeable.

Same, I didn't even bother going outside, it wasn't much of a shift. I did check it out for a minute on twitter's live feed though.

Grrr.... the eclipse made the ASUS chromebook go up 10 bucks since I put it in my Amazon shopping cart. I guess it will go back down after fears of a possible eclipse zombie apocalypse are quelled.

Trying to do 3 DR's at once.
1 - Client that I told many times to buy a UPS for their server that has frequent power outages. They had good intentions but never got around to doing it. (They have one now!)
2 - New client that thought they could do it on their own that shared out every drive on the server, every drive on each workstation and got hit by a crypto virus that encrypted virtually every file on every computer (inc Server) that they own
3 - Client that 'moved' his server all by himself (without turning anything off first) - Still trying to figure out this one.Oh, and keep up with my normal customer calls/tickets.

Yeah, I had to be nice and tell him that doing that is 'generally not best practice'. Didn't want to add insult to injury. I think he got the point.
Sucks right now, but if everyone knew how to do I.T. I'd have to find a different job!

OK so you get them a UPS and restore their data, they lived, they learned.. bill and be happy.
2 - New client that thought they could do it on their own that shared out every drive on the server, every drive on each workstation and got hit by a crypto virus that encrypted virtually every file on every computer (inc Server) that they own
Fire this client right after you get them fixed up. They will never do things right (at least there is near zero chance they will be willing to hire you as needed, instead they will constantly try to save a buck. I suppose if your emergency rate is high enough, it might be worth keeping them, maybe?
3 - Client that 'moved' his server all by himself (without turning anything off first) - Still trying to figure out this one.
/sigh, not quite a firing client things.. but damn.

Going to a heavy, sludgy show tonight with a lovely lady. We might drive her pink '59 Galaxie 500, just to be extra cool.
