Don't know if that is available for Linux (yet), but have you tried AnyDesk? AFAIK from a group of former TeamViewer devs.

I've used Anydesk recently... It's okay, but not as polished as teamviewer

It is, I'm using it. Teamviewer is available for nearly any Linux system.
