Just had some random insane amount of larvae of something swarm in under a sliding glass door from our atrium. Spent twenty minutes killing one after another. So gross.

Hundreds of them. They are coming up from the grout work or the door frame!
Peppermint oil will make them go the other way.
So will things like brake cleaner, kerosene, and DDT. I don't trust hippie remedies to get bugs out of my house.
Fire works also. Just burn the house down.
I watched my Dad spray some bug spray on a similar larva swarm recently... slowed them down as much as peppermint oil would have. So kerosene and fire was called in since we needed an actually effective remedy that wouldn't take a week or 2 to work.
