@scottalanmiller Wrong. DS9 is the best, by a long shot. Doesnt really get very good til Worf shows up, and then after the "Miracle in teh Wormhole" it really gets good.
I'm trying to fight my way through it. But it feels like the writers mocking the universe. It's impossible to take it seriously
The first season is pretty bad - but then again, it's that way for all the series.

If anyone has any suggestions of what we should check out that aren't every Star Trek show made since the 1970s, that would be great. My interest in this thread goes far beyond y'all arguing TNG vs DS9, ffs.
I heard that at least a dozen non-Star Trek shows got made between the 1970s and now, but that could just be a rumor. If anyone has any insight, please post that instead of "Star Trek _______ is the best!!!!" Thanks, signed everyone who doesn't feel the need to debate which Star Trek/Star Wars/Whathefukever is considered best by internet nerds.
Well SG-1 was great! Babylon 5 was pretty good too (though I would love to see a remake of that show with modern tech.. they could just crush it!

Sure... but I heard that there were at least 3 non-scifi shows made in the last 4 decades... anyone know what those might be?

Have you seen any of the Marvel shows--Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc.? I'm behind on Luke Cage, but I'm looking forward to Iron Fist.

All 3, and I'm anxiously awaiting iron fist.

@RojoLoco I really need to just get to Luke Cage. It's been sitting in my queue since its release.

Yes, but none worth watching for the most part. I can name some good mystery type shows, but theyre mostly from the UK and you might not be able to understand the language.

There were? why would we care about those
I watch NCIS, Bull has been kinda interesting this year, but I think it will be boring fast!
I really like Suits.

Enterprise was stuck with bad writers or something. Show had potential, but meh.

Eye in the Sky.... good movie indeed...

@scottalanmiller Why does that picture have light outside of the universe?

That's how we see the universe, from the light bouncing off of it from other universes.

Ah, the multiverse is a thing then, and they can be physical things, sweet.
Sadly, won't have time to watch till after work tonight.

Seen 2 movies from when I was a kid .
2010: The Year We Make Contact. I still love that movie!! It tied up most of the loose ends from 2001 and still gives you a sense of wonder 30 years after its making.
Crossroads: Always loved this movie, even though The Karate Kid was the main character.
There was always a weird ending to it, and I recently found out why.Spoiler ALERT!!
"Lightning Boy" wanted to be a blues man, but played a classical piece to defeat Jack Butler and the devil. Why? From IMDB trivia: ""Eugene's Trick Bag", the updated classical piece at the film's climax, is largely based on Niccolรฒ Paganini's Caprice #5. According to myth, Paganini, sold his soul to the devil for his musical skills. Steve Vai replicates Paganini's legendary rolling eyes, long unkempt hair, and gaunt look."
The song was even said to be an ode to the devil because of its speed, precision, and needing unusually large hands to play the piece, even in today's standards.
Here's a video of the piece. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amfCqFUMBkY

It's a toss-up between Luke Cage and Jessica Jones as to which is my fave... but they are intertwined stories. And Method Man makes a cool cameo in LC.

Jessica Jones has a slight advantage to me. The villain in her show is just perfect.
