How we prepare for the first leg of our trip.

We will be starting out in little old Western, NY working for a couple days down in Salisbury, NC then will start the drive along i40 (aka a bit of Route 66) all the way to CA. Have IPhone app will travel. Found a cool Route 66 sites app so will be trying to stop at as many weird trading posts, World’s largest ball of barbed wire and anything else that is weird and quirky.
At least you'll avoid the torture of I55. That's a lot of cement roadway, and tiny little bounces all-day-long. Even in an air ride seat it was torture, and let's not think about the fun of trying to keep from "bouncing" the gas or break pedal as well.

About time to get that drive underway!!

We have been on the road about 15 minutes (had to finish my breakfast before i could post). We finished the jigsaw puzzle and even had a little space left.

So I posted that it was time to go.... one minute before it was time to go

We need to calculate the amount of storage in that van and the time to get to California. This is one of those moments that the van might be faster than the Internet.
100TB in seven days....
