Citrix Embargo with the EU
-
Maybe something has happened between the US and the EU that you do not know about? Have you checked the news?
-
Ha ha #firstworldproblems
Oddly appropriate.

I'm assuming a VPN would solve this problem

Not necessarily, actually, we are trying to figure that out. I just got an email from them... time to go read.

just download through an SSH tunnel

There is an account. So even if it was IP originally, it would be an account now.
-
@scottalanmiller maybe it's just you?

So trying to do some work with Citrix and got the message that I am in an embargoed country and they cannot do business with me. News to me, Citrix is embargoing the EU?
Anyone else in the EU able to work with Citrix?
The EU is not (currently) a country. Greece is a country.

@JaredBusch no but it is a single political block. It embargoes as a single entity. It shares a government. It's more like the US than it is dislike it. In many ways, the EU states are closer than the US. In many others they are more distant. But it is a confederation like the first US was. An embargo against a member state is normally an embargo against the whole as they are a single trade entity.

So you think they will block the account because you used that account once to log in from an embargoed location?
I suppose that's possible, but not typical.

Something like that. They are looking into it.

Give the link, I live in Spain and can check it.

Citrix support has responded and is going to get me the files that I need manually. They don't manage their own site and the third party that does has identified issues with some Windows patches causing it to happen (not my issue) and some other false positives in their system.

LOL - wow.

Yeah. But the director of the program jumped on it herself and they are all over it. So good response to a weird problem.
-
That seems like an odd problem.

No problem to download from Spain.
I test downloading Xen Server Hotfix.
