Yes it is. However, it is suspected that much of DAC is a second order consequence of URE. And also a lot of DAC is believed to come from drive vibration. Both things are fixed with SSD. So it is believed that the likelihood of DAC is lower.

I just have a two bay at the moment. It is a pretty recent addition. Very nice unit though. I actually have the ioSafe fire proof, water proof unit.

I'm actually looking forward to this LTS as a possible every day desktop for myself. I've never been fully on board with taking the plunge, but the increasing irrelevance of the underlying OS is making using a stable and secure platform that much more attractive to me.

Sounds like a plan. Maybe a generic ARM board project thread.
