Without reading everyone's posts, my guess is it sees the local Exchange server and tries to pull from that. You need to have the client migrate EVERYTHING to Office365 and get off that local server. I don't even want to try and figure out how you have all the MX records, etc setup.

One of our vendors alerted us about this patch last week.

And in that case it makes sense. You're blocking all traffic from China or Russia, for example. Then you allow the ports you want open but those countries are blocked, and maybe every other country is fine (hopefully you haven't blocked Spain... ;)), and then you deny the rest. That also makes logistical sense. I don't disagree with @thecreativeone91. It all comes down to what your objective is and then determining the best way to approach it.

When you are dealing with helpdesk outsourcing that can be tough as you are dealing with a pool of people, not a named engineer.

I've always done if for the people that were on vendor support contracts. Not a big deal just meant every time there was a new employee there was a day or two delay til they could do anything with their software on our network. Much of it was required by regulations anyway.

JIRA is super affordable at just $10 for 10 users (If you host it)

That's been happening for years. The shift to Linux from Windows has been huge.

Ran through a few things, and happened upon the uninstall / repair option.
I ran the repair, which subsequently required a reboot (no surprising on a system service).

Currently the system performance has increased back to 'normal'.

probably because either they forgot about roaming devices, or they expect you to set DNS to their public IPs regardless of where you are, which we all know probably won't work.

I need to add some process after discussing with the Project Managers, just to ensure that we don't end up using 100% resources of servers and if something new comes i will end up terminating some to accommodate new ones. Idea is to ensure to have some policies like, x number of hours/days needed to fire up x type of SP farm (single server, multi server- 6 servers, 8 servers etc), If there are new projects coming in, share the infrastructure proposal with us, so we can check if there are rooms for this new setup, if not order new servers to provision etc.

I'm a heavy Adobe Audition user, but I use an older version that I think is much better and I am dreading the day that I might have to go to the CC version.

So I think I'm best off purchasing a new wildcard cert for a different domain to the one we use for Exchange. This way I leave Exchange and our main domain UCC cert alone, and our intranet sites use their own domain name externally (eg intranet1.domain2.com; intranet2.domain2.com).

Does that sound ok?
