Just in case you're starting a new AD: Better go read a few articles about AD DNS setup, naming conventions and general best practices before configuring the role. Choosing a good root level domain name is of utmost importance and it shouldn't be changed later.

It's possible, but requires expert level knowledge. It's like jumping through a minefield - blindfolded on a pogo stick.

Single host Hyper V operation is very simple. I wrote an article over at @StarWind_Software's blog a while ago which explains the basic networking stuff (the articles there are all great). Could be a good starting point.

More advanced topics include things like backups, MAC spoofing (required by VPNs, for example), VLANs vs multiple NICs (important for VPNs and firewalls for example), resource allocation, correct snapshot usage, different virtual disk types, underlying storage architecture (beware, that's the personal topic of @scottalanmiller :p) etc. IMHO, backups and the underlying storage are by far the most important things to learn.

I prefer the learning-by-doing approach. You could, for example, build a working VPN server. Try SoftEther on a Linux VM, a really cool and free to use multiprotocol VPN server. Let it authenticate inbound SSTP connections against your Active Directory. Or play around with Veeam B&R.

no review has been done; just a negative customer review from previous work done with this site as I was buried in projects, calls, and other emergency issues.

you got me there. i tried 3 different states same result. Ticketmaster sucks.

I'm sure they just sold out on pre-release , There's nothing you can do.
I heard they were going on tour and they were sold out before tickets went on sale.

Something I tell my team is to look at the things that you are currently doing and when you get done ask yourself the question, "Did I gain energy or lose energy from that task, and why?" You can do some high level assessments of the things you love or hate. It may be that you love programming POS systems, but because you have to interact with a particular person, or people in general, that the task drains your energy. Things like that.

I have not done a profession personality assessment in years... Highschool we were required every year to do one

that's a good practice. I'll see if I can implement that.

This is the insane part.

So I've tried to figure this bit out before and haven't ever really came to a "how does the car owner know that their car was towed vs stolen" (regardless of this case).

If the police just up and claim it was a rightful tow, without at all looking at the scenario there'd be heads to roll.

Imagine paying for all day parking in a lot, and then the lot attendant allows a truck to come in and just pick any cars they want. . .

This is essentially what is happening all over the US.

Yes, it's not unique to any area. The laws are pretty standard, and the scams that leverage those laws are now well known and standard and they have these processes to extort outrageous amounts of money and have convinced lawmakers to grant them licenses to steal cars to do it.

remember; extortion is only illegal if you're not apart of the government .
