Monday Morning Coffee, "Staff meeting" , and Email purge are all done\started.
Follow ups from the weekend, and planning the week;Oh ; My team won 8/5 In our Dart Game yesterday (I play league) with the highest MPRs and everyone shot above their average My Sunday was great.
in light of that timing shit last week - you should turn in a time log daily - explaining how much time daily you spend doing different tasks... the question is wither or not to include things like bathroom breaks and water cooler talk, or pad those into one of the other non client billing times, assuming the discussion is in fact non billing.
The whole point being to show that it's your availability that they are paying for, not just the time you are working on billable projects/break-fixes.
Oh; you missed it?
I talked to his boss, and we came to the conclusion that I'm fine,He can't tell me dick about anything, and He seems to think he's in charge.
and if I ever need to work from home; Tell Supervisor to Fuck Off. and that His boss Said It's fine. -

Wiping the work computer tomorrow morning when I come in, putting a fresh install of windows10 on it and wiping my hands of this place , the count down continues.. getting more and more excited.
Careful of don't-giva-a-crapenitis. It hits hard the closer you get to a work place not being your problem
I've been pushing past it because the customers dont deserve that, but I'm about there. tomorrow will be a wonderful day, I'm so excited.

Humans do tend to get confused a bit on ports. Here are some things why...
- TCP and UDP have the same port ranges but are different protocols and TCP ports are unrelated to UDP ports. So TCP Port 22 can be doing one thing and UDP port 22 something totally different.
- Ports under 1024 are traditionally designated by the operating system as protected and require admin level to open. Ports at 1024 or higher can be opened by anyone. But that is an operating system thing, not a networking thing. But important to know.
- TCP and UDP are not the only protocols and not every situation has a port. ICMP doesn't use TCP or UDP and does not use ports at all, for example.
- TCP is connection based, UDP is connectionless. So people often get confused with UDP because you can't "open a connection" to see if it is working. Even people with 20 years of experience forget this constantly and fail to troubleshoot.
I'll tell you a UDP joke, but I'm not sure you'd get it.
Might tell you another UDP joke, but I'm not sure you'd get that either.
But then, I'll tell you a TCP joke, and I know you'll get that one.I laughed out loud at my desk and my coworker didnt understand the joke.

How did you get started in IT? Was that always a career goal?
At professional events I meet a interesting mix of people who have either always gone in for IT or related fields such as computer science, and then there is the more intriguing set of folks who never intended to do IT to begin with. Personally IT was never a career goal for me, but something I fell into during college. What's your story?
I started here at this website Mangolassit
before that I did a few A+classes in Middle School/highschool.
from there I went to ML and have been learning ever since.I got started in the Job im in now because i have "Superb Customer service" according the my boss- who was a regular at the gas station i worked at.

then i installed, and ran that command, just booted my VM. -

@FrostyPhoenix prosueing a career!
trying things out, seeing what makes my mind jump up and down like a kid with a bunch of sugar whos about to watch his favorite movie ( i say this, because my almost 2 year old son, who was hanging out with his grandma earlier, is hyped up on sugar and as i was turning his favorite movie on, he was jumping up and down and had the biggest smile on his face) and see what i love about it! Thats why im on this site, see how everyone reacts to each other and so on. also not to mention, I started my NTG internship yesterday.

where else can I look for programs that are causing shutdown?
I have suggested re-imaging, backing up the Drives and wiping it clean, But apparently that isn't an option.
told me to keep looking.Uninstall all the extra crap, then when it keeps happening, go to the site and wipe it clean. Not sure why your boss doesn't want you to fix this correctly.
the million dollar fucking question
