Offically started clocking in / out as of today.
But I still have to track my time in the spread sheet for my On call weeks (standby pay) - so now Every day when I clock out, I gotta put the hours in my Spread Sheet that we've been using-
I'll take extra logging of what is logged for $100 Alex.
Scheduling an interview next week and (gasp) it’s an in person version!
Onboarding paper work... WOO!!!!.. no - wait.. Oh crap ... I wasn't done with that page.. come back here!!! GAH!
oops.. >click< HR - HELP!
Just schedule time off,… use it or lose it…. I have to use eleven days before 5/31,… and I will still carry over time.
Mostly four day weeks for two months. Guess I need an excuse not to do things at home now.
@gjacobse Bio - IRL Name: Gene
Not much on doing a self Bio - But I'll see what I can muster up and get online.
First contact with computers would have been in the mid to late 1970's, it was a Main Frame terminal in the Math and Science Center in Virginia. One of the things we did was play the famous game: Oregon Trail. The 'display' was a line printer from what I can remember. This is in the era of to 'shot' you had to type B A N G. not tap the space bar.
Getting into high school a classmate who got me remote control cars also started me down the road of electronics - All sorts of mayhem ensued.
I have run a BBS system, and built PCs in the living room since the earlier 1990s. Spent several years on a Help desk for the State, driven commercial trucks, worked for two non - profits as the sole IT person, supported 18,000 people for a large auto manufacturer.
And now I work for NTG, one of the best IT companies.

Working with @scottalanmiller and our Sodium - it doesn't appear as though I can open a new ticket. I can however see the test tickets, and interact with them. Just not open a new one.

@MattSpeller Everything on that list makes sense... Except the first one... The first item has me concerned for your safety.
It's a @MattSpeller thing....
So - one of the things I can seem myself doing is needing to have Sodium open in two tabs;
But, the Tab title only shows Sodium. I would like to see if possible, the page showing what you are one currently.

It is not only a kid movie. Lots of humor for us older ones too.

It's worth it,.. as it two. looking forward to Minions this summer..
Discussion came up today about applying updates to servers via Sodium.
Awesome - this will be great. I won't have to do (x) a bunch of times.
So here we have Sodium applying the updates available for system x - Server 2012 r2,.. and the little blue dots just 'whirling' away happily. Awesome
Applied
But now what - it still needs a reboot -
So once the update is complete, what is happens next? Am I to wait for a clock to cycle before it will reboot on its own, or do I need to step in?
I have to add that I have ten - fifteen systems I am running updates on, across two Hyper-V Hosts. My normal is to updates and shut down, update and restart the host.
How long do I wait, or do I just move forward with a reboot?
Hey look over trhere,... something shiny!
