Office has a private bathroom too. That AC unit is only for the office. It's super comfy. Not very big, but I have storage, two big "desks", four monitors, and a full bathroom with shower. And two windows. So not too shabby.
Which location is that at?
This is my city office in downtown Leon. It's a converted student apartment. So a studio with no kitchen (there is a shared cooking space in my outdoor courtyard.)

Office Desk at the new job, Dilbert riding shotgun today

My desk until next week.

@JaredBusch OMG, I'm too old to sit like that for very long.
-
No thanks -
Though I have often wondered how the elders in the Japanese Society did sit.. chair, floor, standing just doesn't matter any more for me.... I just hurt, and to take the levels of pain medication needed would burn my system down like it was a house filled with spiders.oh - that and I really like having dual monitors... I can't really function anymore from just a single monitor or laptop... unless I'm doing only one thing - Using it for the Laser or the Radio..

The thing that kills me the most is my heel. If I keep my legs straight, the back of my heel gets so sore.

Get yourself a portable monitor for when you travel. I still love having mine, even with it being an older lower resolution model.

I am on my laptop 2 days in a row ever 2 weeks normally. I have no issues working from it then. Keeping up with small things while in Japan is not really an issue.

Pro-tip:
Hang a simple sheet in front of your desk. It'll hide the studs and block until you are ready to address that with a different solution. It's simple, cheap and quick. Mine is hanging from the HVAC duct work with magnets.. but push pins work too. -

Put the laptop on a stand ($20 or less on Amazon) and get a real keyboard - you'll like life a lot more!
Also, get a webcam, a decent one, you'll have a lot more control and it will look a ton better than what's build into the laptop.
Might also consider a ring light.

Good things to consider
and can be done within the next 2 weeks or so. -

Actually the white wall that is just behind the laptop is much better than a ring light. Just bounce a light source of it and you'll get a very nice light. Search for "bounce lighting" if you want examples.

If I need to, I hang one from the drop ceiling,.. again with magnets

Where light source could be.... a ring light!

I've actually seen YouTube videos of people recommending that. Use a ring light to light a white wall to get a controlled, but soft, light source for cheap.

Could be but ring lights have the wrong characteristics. You'll waste a lot of light output with a ring light. You want more a directional light for this.
More like a cheap desk lamp aimed at the wall.
Or one of those work clamp light that's popular among videographers on a shoe string budget.
