Loopback will work when some other things have failed. Fewer moving parts.
So what is their reasoning in this scenario or is there just none?

@scottalanmiller Actually I just found it. Apparently if you have loopback as the first address it can have trouble finding it's replication partners.

You forgot driving through Blue Ball to go through Intercourse!
