It's an extra one that I have that is not on a network.

He obviously has something at home to have setup the AP. If he bought the Ubiquiti controller or setup a VM.
That or he bought one to look at as it's mounted to the wall, but not actually doing anything. . . LOL

The Idea is I have less than 3 weeks to do a full install and we've been delayed.
I'm trying to get a head of already being behind

But you have a controller setup to run one of these that is in your house?

but we don't and we don't have the time to get one shipped.
We can get them in 3 hours from Amazon here, 2 hours from Ingram Micro.
We don't have same day in Nebraska... though Next day might be an option.

That is your employers fault, not yours. It might take 2 days to get an AP in from amazon..

So they've had nearly a month to get a part for $90 that takes one day and they can't be bothered? But you are bringing stuff in from home to cover their asses?

theiryour asses?FTFY, because if @WrCombs didn't do this, he wouldn't be able to get the job done is my guess. This place he works for is so bad!
-
If I had to take a guess, I would say the place he works for is worse than working in the WH right now. . lol

But, just don't.
If your business can't do their job, why should you protect them? You've already learned way more than enough to get another, better job.
Just keep applying and follow up if you don't get a follow up from the potential employer.

So you already have one... no need for another. Why ask the question when you already have it?

So you screwed something up and are trying to make it up through your own resources?

Because he doesn't want to create a separate SSID at his residence and was wondering what he needs to done to make this work at his place of employment.
It's odd for sure, because if he has a working Ubiquiti AP at his residence, he must've gone through that setup process and at least be familiar with what needs to be done to create an SSID.

it's not accessible - I need to redo the one at home too.
Also because it's not the same SSID ; and It's not going to be the same Ip addresses - although IDK if that makes any difference.
