Comparing MeshCentral 2 to ScreenConnect

@scottalanmiller With Windows IoT the kernel is a bit different, but it's possible we could support it. The main issue we got in the past was that we had to strip out a lot of agent features to make it work. Really no way we could with WinCE, it's too insane to get the development tools and do that work for that one.

And 0.2.5-p update is out... and installed.
-
And now 0.2.5-q
-
Just the regularity of updates makes it pretty impressive.
-
Just updated to 0.2.5-r
-
ElementaryOS 5 tested. Works great.
-
0.2.5-u just installed here.
-
And now 0.2.5-v
-
Just updated to 0.2.5-w

Is there a way to have to automatically update when I restart it? Or do I have to npm install it every time?

The config.json file has an auto-update setting that can be enabled.

Thanks. I found it.
I think I may just move this out to my cloud server and see how it plays out.

And now on 0.2.5-y
-
Missed a few updates, on 0.2.6-c now!!

Just posted a blog on latest MeshCentral news. One thing I wanted to do for a while now is document the internals of MeshCentral. You may need for technical competence, but the first version of the document is here. - Enjoy.
-
@scottalanmiller I think you will notice the much faster start time of the agents on smaller devices.

Awesome. feel free to post here, too. Just use the "Self Promotion" group. Lots of traffic and visibility here.

@Ylian : are there any plans at this time to allow one-time "support sessions" instead of "access sessions". Used for IT support of computers that a) don't have an access session already configured b) users (rightfully) don't have administrator access? (e.g. ScreenConnect)

@Ylian Thanks for writing that up, I enjoyed reading it.
