I use a vps installed with centos web panel, been running my sites like this for a long time now.
How do you like Centos web panel? Did you migrate from cpanel?
Isn't it actually Control Web Panel? Their domain is CentOS, btu the product is COntrol. I'm guessing that they got a court order telling them to change since that is obviously using a trademark.
That might be the case. Most or the reading I've done has referred to it as CentOS web panel. The name may have changed recently. Idj
Been control for several years, I think. I tried it out a number of years ago.
If you do a search on control web panel vs Centos web panel. You got many more threads of people talking about the product. Even official documentation refers to it as CentOS web panel.
Well it happened in this thread, for example. Lots of people call things wrong, often for a very long time. Hyper-V Core anyone? lol
Their own documentation refers to it as CentOS web panel. Their domain is Centos-webpanel in addition to the phrase proudly displayed on their header "CentOS web panel is installed on 10,000+ servers."

Is their logo wrong? Maybe who knows?
-
I doubt it's a legal reason because it's prominently still displayed everywhere on their site.

Possible, but would be weird.

The more I look, the more I just feel that they are confused.

It is odd.

Yeah, even on their FB page it jumps back and forth.

It's all going to be dependent on what you want. For my personal stuff I use GitLab pages and Hugo.
Big fan of Go language?
Yeah. I love it.

Name put aside, it's just what I've known it as, I also use ISPconfig on another VPS, I think both web panels just work and have no issues with either.. I've used cpanel/whm many times in the past and quite like cpanel but just chosen to use what I use, obviously if you don't want to worry about updating your VPS and don't want the hastle then just use regular web hosting.. I'm just stating what I use in the thread and by no means giving advice to use what I use.

We moved all the way from ASO to paneless because we found it to be the least effort. The panel seems to create more effort than it removes. For us at least.
