The Linux Agent is open source. At least much of it.
-
Just talked about how we could manage the Linux Agent via Ansible or Salt

I mean, I'd rather use that than ReaR. I just didn't have a way to automate it and I don't want to run a tui on every machine that needs it.

They have a session tomorrow where they are going to deep dive into free full automation of the Linux Agent tomorrow.
Can you take good notes on that? I've very interested in doing this.

The Linux Agent definitely shows that they are REALLY close to KVM native.
What do you consider KVM native? Is that host based backup?
@scottalanmiller Don't forget me ?
-
@scottalanmiller That's some fancy plate stacking.

KVM as in only an agent in the host, not in the VMs

Just like it is with Hyper-V.
This will be available with v10 or at a later date? -

Veeam says that hardware RAID is faster than Storage Spaces today. The SS code is just too slow.
-
In the Storage Spaces Direct session now.
-
Veeam said back uping instead of backing up. Lol
-
@DenisKelley found me. He was in my last session.
-
@Garyw is here, too.
