I made the mistake of asking for a lab server for our cloud based SAAS POS system that I'm the "Admin" for - so Now I'm stuck in online training for the same system that I know very well after 4 sites that I've installed... and support - ...
and the guy that I'm "replacing" (they dont know I'm looking to leave) Told them we wanted access to the beginners lab Server "because thats what I use." . . . . . . .This is brain numbing..
Of I already went through this training 2 times last year before the site was installed (by the way)

yeah.. It's ridiculous.. it gets worse - the one guy who never took this course is "grandfathered in from last time" though he never got the cert.. I still have my cert.

Ah ha!
I emailed the lady and sent her my certificate, and asked if I still needed to complete the course.
She said no, and she would update my information in their database.that's 3.5 hours of my life that I could have been working on something else.

Welcome to the club. I know you've been here a while, have a drink, you'll need it.

Anyone ever wondered what happened to Breffni? He was on here promoting his weird MSP website and blog like nobody's business for a few years. He pushed that website hard. But the site has been gone for years, it's just a 404. Seems weird to have worked so hard to promote it then to just shut it all down and vanish. He kept talking about these hundreds of thousands of dollar investments he was making into building all this special tooling and stuff, not things you do if closing down is in the cards at all.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars on tooling for a website? What reason could you possibly have for that today, this isn't the 90s when you had to build everything from the ground up.

For the MSP business that the website promoted. Obviously.

My quote of the day from something that I am writing...
"If cloud as a term had a musical equivalent, it would be Alanis Morisette's Ironic, the song where the only thing ironic about it is the title. The term cloud is the same, everyone uses it, no one knows what it means. Just like ironic."

Where did that "IT quotes I like" thread get to, this needs added to it!
