Getting in touch with my Celtic heritage since the SO took the kids to the lake for the afternoon / evening:
- Drinking Innis & Gunn Gunpowder IPA
- Listening to Scottish / Irish / Celtic music
- Planning on a wee dram of scotch once the beer is done

Drunk History - iirc - is about things that have happened in history while people were smashed, and how the drink made those sorts of things possible.
No, the historians are drunk. And all of the history (so far) is American.
All the episodes I've seen have comedians getting drunk and telling a historical tale. Haven't seen any actual historians, but I haven't seen all the show either.
Same here amigo, Historians would be too bloody smart to get smashed.

Like the pyramids weren't built by mostly slave labor, but actually with paid skilled labor, paid in beer. Which beer at the time was more nutritional than alcoholic.
That doesn't match what people above said - they said it was about getting historians and famous people wasted and then asking them in front of cameras about historical events - that just sounds like exactly what Ouch My Balls is all about - just watching people being dumb.
Its' not dumb, though, because it is nearly all professional historians and they tell real, interesting history. Just with hilarious dialogue.
I still don't get the point - the whole whole being drunk is the only thing the audience apparently gives a crap about ...
Yep, that's most of what I get out of it. I also enjoy knowing that I'll wake up feeling better than the drunk shmuck on the show.

My god, yes. General opinion of Hyper-V where I am is low, but I'm convinced there are multiple factors that contribute to the perception of suck, most of which aren't Hyper-V's fault by itself.

What is the reason for anyone to purchase Cisco UCS server instead of Dell or HP?

No idea. Stuff was here long before I and will be here long after I leave. There are many things in our infrastructure that I cannot explain.

It's not great. The underlying tech is not that bad, but the resulting system is so weak compared to the competition (e.g. everyone.)

Because they hate him.

Why the hell do non-IT people question the recommendation of IT, just because you want to use a piece of software doesn't make it the best solution. Use what you're told, not what you want to spend money on or have heard about.
GAH, users.
