@DustinB3403 I'm sure too, guess I'll just have to walk until I find something. Will keep you updated
-
@JaredBusch oh my god what an awesome analysis! Guess I'll have to look for a bridge that has an entrance too so I can live under it and also inside it

So none of your interns are taking the certification exam?
No, that would be silly. Even ones that would eventually do some bench work, the A+ is useless for enterprise bench work and is focused on consumer bench. We are not a bench company, nor a consumer one. So the A+ broadly doesn't apply in any way to us as a company, or IT interns looking for IT careers.
I don't see how the A+ content is not useful to someone working with client PCs, hardware and OS. I know many of the basic things in the A+ some people here are obviously ignorant of that otherwise would have been long gone over had the A+ been studied, as one example.
You are confusing the material with the cert. They are two different things. Having a cert for brushing your teeth would be insanely useless, but that doesn't imply that not knowing how to brush your teeth is useless.

I assumed you would simply crawl inside the space between the I-beams and live in there. Technically it is still under the bridge surface, but also inside of the structure.

It is - but those people, according to Scott, are bench personal, not IT.

I don't agree with that logic because it's baseless as in can be said with any cert, or validation of covered material such as degrees.
Your point (not example, your example was completely bad) is only valid if the material and cert are not linked, such as to know none of the material the cert or degree is certifying one should know or be familiar with by having said cert or degree.
If someone does have the A+, it's assumed they are aware of and have covered the material the cert is certifying they are competent of.
Perhaps some of the material the A+ certifies some degree of knowledge of is useless for certain jobs and careers... perhaps some job descriptions require certs that are completely irrelevant to the job, but that's besides the point and not an issue with the cert or material itself.
