Getting ready to swap over from old ISP to new ISP & do a firmware update on an ER-L Then back to tickets.
Good luck with the swap. The upgrade should just work(TM)
And done! no issues.
This meme is great, and useful for so many things.

Thanks. No worries about the upgrade. Swapping the ISP from an old crappy DSL based connection that drops multiple times a day, to a shiny new COAX one.
Oh, I was talking about the firmware upgrade
Right. Never had an issue on the ER-Lites. I did brick an ER-X though with the latest firmware update on my home ERX. Not enough storage for the new image, somehow corrupted the thing.

Anyone else notice that SW has a new layout which hides most of the topics posted in the community? Now they just show their own articles and posts that have been "featured". The timeline/feed of everyone's posts is either gone or must be searched for in depth. But I suppose it makes them look like there aren't a bunch of noob questions/shitposts/etc.

It's been like that for some time for me.

I guess I'm tardy to the party.... but it's starting to look more like buzzfeed or something, with carefully curated content to attract new IT "pros". And vendors with deep pockets.

I wonder if I'm still on their "beta tester" program, it would explain why I stopped looking at all before so many other people around here at least.

Yeah I had to dig into the sub topics to find recent/current postings.

I just have a query setup to search for blank spaces. This way I get notifications for literally everything except for constant walls of text without spaces.
Boss move, right?!

Unpacked my new monitors today. Dell U2518D. I guess I might have had worser screens in the past.
But there's also another factor: I'm using a Surface Pro 2017 and its ultra high quality display makes nearly every other screen look like ... well, you think you will need glasses soon when you look at others.

Catching up on all my ML "Hey, I'll open another tab for that and read that thread later" posts.

Some days, no browser on earth could handle that, ha ha.

I'm ridiculously far behind today, too. Been a VERY busy day.

Ah, is that why traffic died down so much?

Considering a FreePBX 14 server to help dive into Linux server administration. Namely the FreePBX 14 hashtag and anything JB wrote in regards to Freepbx.

That would be a bad choice.
Because once the install is done, you should rarely be on the CLI with something like FreePBX.
Granted I still use the CLI to update, but I never posted instructions on that because it is an advanced or non standard funciton compared to everything else in FreePBX.

Any suggestions then? Blog?

Wiki.js is dead simple (skip the Git connection). Then put NginX on the same bvox in front of it to give you some things to tinker with.
