I've built seventeen servers on Vultr TODAY. lol
That's a lot.
All for a single customer?
No customers, I'm internal.
What could you possibly need 17 separate new servers for suddenly? A new big project? That's a lot of processing power requirement all at once.
I work at a SaaS vendor
Okay, well that makes more sense.
But 17 from the get-go? Are you unable to scale out or something?
But that's exactly what scaling out would look like!
I mean starting out with like 8 servers for the first bunch of customers. Then when demand dictates, scale out (add more).
No customers, all work for development.

I provisioned 16 last week. We buy clusters and do CFD solves over them.

Finally back from work, not at good day with Viztek...

What happened?

@scottalanmiller Server supposed to be live but Doctors could not see Images and provide reports for MRIs... so I needed to revert back to previous server and wait until "Development" and "Support" research the issue since they have not been able to see this issue "before". I troubleshot most of the issues myself... and I wasted a whole day on the phone with support to end with the same way it started.
-
@scottalanmiller All this because their application was not working right, and I needed to find this out instead of them prior to support/production to see it...it has been a long time since I have gotten pretty upset with a support company.

Thinking do I need an internal SSL certificate authority thingy for servers like our Unifi Controller as it works off https but only internally????

If you wanted to host it on Vultr
sureabsolutely, but for internal I usually skip it. Not that it isn't worth while, but I tend to trust things operating on my LAN. -

It's nice getting a phone call you actually can enjoy, rather than being ranted at by end users, lol.

I'm about to send an e-mail to all end users about upcoming phone system changes. It's been discussed as an "it's coming. . .eventually" thing for a while, so I'm hoping there won't be too many sky-is-falling replies to my e-mail about <shudder> change!
