Working from home before I travel to my mother's hometown to watch the eclipse.
Driving home to Omaha from the St Paul, MN yesterday was a nightmare. Traffic was horrible!!!! Toss on that several construction choke points (40+ mins to travel 2.6 miles) it was a very stressful drive home - almost no cruise control.
At least you weren't in danger of falling sleep at the wheel, I hope!
Actually for a time I was - but then I found a second wind... and it was gone - it was kinda weird.

That's the way it goes for me too. If I push through the 3 hour mark, I'll be good for 8 or 9 hours.

We had our first 9 hour trip with Emilia this summer... it was only supposed to be 6 hours but traffic was absolutely crazy. I get pretty bad around the 6 hour mark but after that 10-15 minutes I can generally do another few hours.

I have done 13 hours straight by myself. At about 10 hours I am ready to kill someone. But usually a small break brings back a second wind so I can finish out.
I often (about once a month) do the whole down and back to NYC which is about 5 1/2 hours one way. Then work all day and then drive back. I don't suggest it....

I have 4+ trips to make from Omaha to Duluth over the next 2 months, take a break for winter, then back again in the spring.
One way is 8-9 hours, then work my ass of cleaning out the house, organizing things/selling things, etc. Then drive home - I'm pretty wiped after the weekends now days.

If we were simply able to either donate/trash it all, it would take like 4 days total.. but alas, we can't - my mother is still alive preventing us from just moving the stuff out of our lives.
I am guessing we have near 400 man hours of stuff to do.
16 hr - 8/5/17
16 hr - 8/19/17Lots to go. The easy part was moving out clothes of my grandmother as they won't fit anyone else. There was 10 trips to Goodwill just in clothing, approx 400 pieces each trip.
From here on out it will be very slow progress as we move the non clothing stuff. We have to look through each one, get my mothers OK to remove/sell pile up and press on.
On top of three floors of this in the house, there are 2 two car garages and 3 storage units (think Storage Wars) to empty out.

Feeling like crap today. Think I might have a fever.

There's only one way to cure that....
(but seriously, hope you feel better soon)

Not having much luck getting an old app (from a dead XP machine) to work
Waiting for phone call of the app developers but still waiting after 4 hours
-
oh god - at least you didn't post the picture of will farell.

I'm sure I can find one for you... I'm sure there are plenty from that scene

Sound like it's time to do a follow up call with them.

The past week has solidified the fact that I should've just been a janitor

I never think about that sort of thing.... And when you get to book - you have to be careful... you could find all sorts of interesting things, history or other within their pages.
And I know some people have even hidden monies in them. I think the worst I ever heard was un-cashed royalty checks

@quixoticjeremy If you could be a shitty scientist or a fantastic window washer, what would you choose to be?
