What Are You Doing Right Now

My Jabra headset has developed the most annoying crackle lately. Any audio source, any USB port, I get pops and cracks like I'm playing a 50 cent pawn shop record with a dirty needle. Anyone have any fixit ideas before I bin these cans (after smashing them to bits of course)?

Another posting pattern that I am starting to realize exists...
I want to do totally insane and obviously wrong technical thing because I read about it in some source I won't reference and I'm sure that they are the people to listen to but I have questions about this crazy idea so I'm going to ask people elsewhere that I don't trust enough to give me the advice I already took but need now that I'm determined to do this crazy thing that I will do no matter what even though it makes no sense and none of the people that I need to help me think is a good idea.

Just canceled my Directv, using services at half the cost. Canceling early, but it fees to cancel early would be 2 months of services, so I still have a lot of months of savings.

Half of this post describes me, but I'm working on it

At least you and I have realized when we've tumbled down the wrong rabbit hole and try to course correct. A lot of the folks on SW tend to get all up in arms when folks start poking holes in their ideas.

Finally a question that people know the answer to.... oh wait, it's a bench question not an IT one.

What end-user types "OSI Layer 1" in their ticket?

Sounds like a test question was taken from an A+ test verbatim.

yeah, this is more contrived than an eight grade math question.

Actually a reasonable possibility.

I'm kind of in shock at this topic.

There is no helping people.

If it's the appliance, and not something built in house I could see using it.
But the topic at hand is backwards, he shouldn't try to push the files from the source, instead he should pull them to the destination.

The appliance isn't called FreeNAS. That's the linguistic trick to know if they have the appliance or just the software.

Rsync has good logic, doesn't really matter.
