What Are You Doing Right Now

Auditing Teamviewer. Super tedious
-
Getting things ready to prep for a meeting (I'm only assisting in the setup) and researching phones and other fun stuff.
-
Just booked my room for MC 2017. Looking at Air BnBs in Toronto now, gonna swing through there on my way to Rochester.
-
@RojoLoco sweet.

Is there a thread that you need Craig on? I can ping him.

I'm thinking I need to switch over to KVM from XenServer. The RHCSA/RHCE Cert Book I bought seems to be 100% KVM.
That's because RH only sells KVM, your certification is not on the Red Hat or Linux ecosystems as a whole, but specifically on the products that Red Hat is selling or promoting.

@Dashrender 10 years ago, I was a band director. I had no hand in getting a system with fakeRaid.
He had not yet jumped on the IT.... bandwagon.

Not quite a bandwagon. Coming out of high school and moving into higher education, I was equally interested in music/music education, medicine, and tasks related to IT (as I understood it as an 18 year old). The transition to IT was foreseen a while ago, though I have a feeling before the end of my days, I'll be on the podium conducting again. Medicine (Osteopathic medicine in particular) has yet to grow into an academic interest, which would motivate me to go through all of the required coursework.

Now that I've got my hearing and music back, this is something I'd love to do -- even if only once.

Looks like Sage 50 Quantum will run in a VM, which I expected no less.
I just wish it was a supported scenario:

@EddieJennings The fact that they don't offer support for it in a virtual environment means that the software is complete crap.
Any chance to get rid of it?
I once dealt with JobBOSS on this issue and they said "we don't support it" because they are afraid of database issues. And I simply told them, support us or you'll be replaced.
They supported us.

Time to head to the airport.
-
@DustinB3403 Very little chance. Company has been married to Sage either since its start or very soon after its start (20+ years).
-
@DustinB3403 Quickbooks also does not support VMs either... which is hilarious when thir hosted Quickbooks is run on VMs.
