Road construction season has started, oh joy.
At least they are trying... wish they'd do some more of that here.
Thought I almost lost a tire twice on the way to work just this morning.

@JaredBusch Another consternation zone season begins.
Being in a construction zone does not bother me, as the roads are greatly improved when they're done. The problem is all the assholes trying to figure out how to merge into one lane prior to the construction zone.
Or why driving like an asshole is actually good for traffic.
Common sense, we can't have that!
They actually understand the zipper merger AND USE IT around Seattle, WA. The thing is, they also DO NOT understand that the fast lane is for traffic going FASTER than the vehicles in the right hand lane. I've not found an area of the US or Canada that everyone understands how to drive properly.
I think that can be said for anywhere.
The difference between us, is that I know it can be said for anywhere.

I live in NJ. When I see someone use their blinker I think they are a stand up person.

Right, as if you've ever seen that.

Driving in Jersey City taught me that I'll never be good at figuring out chaos theory.

Followed this guide for OpenVPN got the server working,
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-setup-and-configure-an-openvpn-server-on-centos-7
Windows 10 Pro client shows connected and gets an IP but no pings between the server and client hmmmmm. -

The motorcycles will kill you, you'll kill them. -
Had to rebuild my Unifi Controller vm, completely screwed up apt and it was easier to backup and reload.

I'm not going to go on another rant about the DMCA but how does Plex Cloud work legally? Seems pretty crazy to me if they are just relying on the old non-drm content technicality
https://www.plex.tv/blog/book-plex-volume-3-plex-cloud/
I have a beta key if anyone wants me to test it.

That link takes you to an article that only talks about linking cloud storage of your stuff to plex.
But to answer the question you are trying to ask.
It is likely no different than certain add ons to Kodi. It is not Kodi providing the questionable sources.

Got a call from our support manager, it went like this:
SM "I've got the IT guy from customer site X on the line, he wants to know how to set up an SFTP server"
me {laughs uncontrollably for a minute}
me "wait, are you serious??? This is someone they actually pay to do IT stuff???"
SM "yes, he said he's done an FTP server, but never an SFTP. Would you like to talk to him?"
me {more laughing} "no, I'm pretty sure I would create a bigger problem by being condescending, then sending him LMGTFY links. I'm fairly certain that doing his job isn't in my job description."
SM "so... any advice?"
me "tell him to get better at his job and learn how to use Google if he plans to charge people for doing IT stuff".
I guess I could have looked up a tutorial, read it to him, then billed him for my time at a ridiculous rate...
-
Might be the easiest, most obvious task that there is in the whole of IT. What the heck CAN he do?

Isn't over 90% of content protected by DRM? How do you legally watch movies on Plex locally (without subscribing to a streaming service)? I get that they aren't supplying the content, but who are they marketing to?

Most of the world is not affected by US DRM laws.

Nobody in the US has been prosecuted for removing DRM from DVDs and BluRays because they actually don't want a court challenge on DMCA law.
