I know that @IRJ was talking about a tablet he was using he really liked.
I know I love the IPad Pro (has LTE on it). And yes I have done IT support from my IPad Pro via Screen Connect
I think @IRJ has that tablet that can run Windows and Android?
Yes that sounds right.
-
Very late visit to the "tianguis" with the Mrs to get some fruit and vegetables.

Yeah it is a great tablet especially since it under $100. No LTE though.

Anyone hear of the superbook? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/andromium/the-superbook-turn-your-smartphone-into-a-laptop-f
I think there is definitely a use case for constant travellers.
-
Interesting. Will have to keep an eye on that one.
-
@Minion-Queen It's so grossly over funded. Typically when this happens the tech companies take notice big time.

I've seen some similar setups. I think it has potential.
-
Hopefully someone will take notice cause that would be really cool

Why would you plug it into a laptop though..... I don't get that part.
Unless the point is to be able to carry your "computer" around with you and use anyone else's computer to do whatever you need on their hardware.
Which I'd tell them to buy a computer....

The SuperBook is like a phone dock... Everything that you see / do is happening to your phone.
-
@dafyre akin to a cell phone based thin client essentially. Except instead of draining your battery it charges it and it only costs $99. Less than a chromebook.
-
@wirestyle22 its a very interesting topic! the superbook looks like a good idea! but
-
Ok maybe I was looking at this wrong, I thought the phone was what is the "superbook" lol
The actual laptop looking thing is the superbook.
Makes more sense.

I had to do a doubletake too.

Yes it is. I love having something so slim and lite to carry around with me.

With a bluetooth mouse + keyboard I assume?
-
The IPad Pro has a keyboard that connects to the tablet and the pencil and because it's an awesome touch screen no need for a mouse.
-
@Minion-Queen Do you run into that windows incompatibility stuff where its not designed for a touch pad so you're moving the mouse around with your finger? Not that I care, but a lot of users I have supported over the years hated that.
