Troubleshooting with user reporting black screen. Ask them if the cable is plugged in. They tell me the bios text isn't loading either.
User: Of course it's plugged in. I'm not an idiot!
Me: Okay Okay. no problem.
<situation doesn't make sense. might as well drive>
Arrive at site
Check DVI cable.
It's loose.
Everything working.
go to Dunkin Doughnuts for Coffee.
Cry into paper bag
Drive back to main building.Today
A-yup... happens all the time. But they swear it's plugged in.. or it has paper,.. and it's the correct printer.
It's never their fault..

Did someone just rip the stuff out of the rack?
-
that looks like one of my closets in our old building... no room for a rack in it though. It's a nightmare, i just leave the door shut.
-
No this was after we had moved the cab and started but it was that messy (the patch panel was in place before hand lol) can't find the "before" shot.

In the picture below it looks like that rack just threw up on itself...

Well - it was dark, and I have a mask on. The flash light on my phone wasn't working quite right and I was afraid one of your neighbors would notice the side door open....
Did you at least find the money I left?
-
I've inherited a lot... off the top of my head, here we have:
10-12 48 port switches, easily as many patch panels if not more...split between 2 main areas, with 2 cabs in each...and spaghetti doesn't come close...Plus the cables have then been zip-tied together to within an inch of their life, with no wiggle room, and plenty of pinch points...
Cables punched into the wrong slots on some patch panels (is it that hard to follow the colours?!)...I have a fun weekend ahead of me at some point I feel...

I'm certain you had the wrong house if you found whiskey and failed to set off any of the myriad boobytraps and landmines.
Also if it did not smell of richly tanned leather, aromatic cedar and musk you had the wrong address.

Never boring reading the posts around here....

It's understandable. Whiskey is not for all "men", only those of us who are accustomed to chopping wood with one hand and yoking oxen with the other.
