What Are You Doing Right Now

Arguing with AT&T at the moment. Been on a call for over 30 minutes. All I want is to have my phones forwarded...
Issue: The IPFlex (T1 for Data & Voice) is down.
Cause: No power to the router
Request: Just forward my damn phones to the number I want.
Response: We (AT&T) cannot do that until the trouble ticket has been open for 4 hours. -
Working on-site with @Minion-Queen !

@johnhooks Are you actually using ZT now?
-
@Dashrender Create your ticket 4 hours ahead of time... better make it 5 hours ahead of time.

@scottalanmiller We've talked about this recently, Scott... Food is somewhat important... Ranking somewhere up near Oxygen, if I do remember correctly.

It's very filling.

Reading on how to change the code to the garage door. About as much fun as programming the first VCRs ....

No guilt for going back to seconds, thirds or even eights..
-
@gjacobse Wave your right hand three times. Scratch your nose with your left foot's pinkie toe. Deep fry a virgin chicken by the light of a wooden candle. Hop backwards three times on your left foot. Hold your breath for 3 minutes and 47 seconds. Then punch in the new code?

Just had a thought - add a button on the UAC box to allow admin actions for #minutes

That would require encrypting a temp file with the local (or domain) admin credentials for a period of time.
Which isn't impossible, but is impractical. If you were working remotely on a system for a user, and granted this access for lets say 30 minutes.
That user could easily disconnect you, and have free reign on the system to add a new local administrator. Effectively stealing the computer.
-
@DustinB3403 Sigh, I guess. I was thinking more like 5 minutes but considering your reply I agree with you. It'd be a real risk.

Would it? In the UNIX world they have long had this and it is just a timer.
-
Arguing with AT&T again because they still have not forwarded the calls for my client,
-
I sent in an Echo feature request to Amazon last night and they responded this morning with "we've never heard this one and we love it - we are looking into it!" How cool is that?

That's what I was basing it off, I'm not sure how it would work, nor do I really care TBH. Just be so handy, especially with the really long PW's we all have to use.

I don't need a password when using UAC. What is causing that?
