What does this mean? Are we talking about the driver integration that Steam does? Or is there something more?

Steam has several features that use the NVidia streaming technology that is only included in GTX model GPUs. You can use Steam without it, but not all Steam features like the Steam Link.

AMD has a separate recording app now. It might do streaming, haven't looked for that. It works with all games tho, not just Steam ones.

With SSDs set to change how drives connect as well, I think that we will see many form factors changing in the near(ish) future.

Other thing to consider is the larger your power overhead the cooler the PSU will run, the longer it will last. The holy trinity of electronics life.

MTBF of caps vs operating temp (very rough guide but gives you a solid feel for the effect of temp on electronics). About every 10c you go up, life goes down by half.

Probably my most frivolous purchase in years.

Backplate for the GTX. Seems to add a certain je ne sais quoi.
