Anyone know how to get rid of the Samsung One UI interface? My phone was updated a couple of days ago, I'm ready to throw it into the drive shredder now....

Root it and install a new OS package.

This could also work. If your carrier is Verizon, it is usually slightly more painful to do.

@JasGot If you want to stay with Samsung then just download the Nova launcher app, if I understand your needs correctly. You basically make your own UI as much as you want to.
If you want a new manufacturer then I still recommend Huawei phones. Despite the political backlash against them they have been far more reliable and better built than anything I have used in the past. I have used apple, sony, lg, and samsung, and motorola phones in the past. They just never have software glitches. Their UI was fine to me but I always use Nova on everything anyway.
Now with google pulling breaking away from them that might complicate things a bit more which is understandable. However I will stay with them. Ive used them too long to go back to anyone else and I just never have issues. I am waiting for their equivalent of android to come out so I can finally leave google behind forever.

Not necessarily... Root the phone, install a custom OS, and then install the Google Apps for that OS, and you're good. I just finally (after 2 years) rooted my 1st gen Pixel XL.

i heard it has fancy Dark Mode , which is a plus. Cmon it cant be that bad considering Samsung original Skin, i heard alot of good reviews on the new One UI

Not necessarily... Root the phone, install a custom OS, and then install the Google Apps for that OS, and you're good. I just finally (after 2 years) rooted my 1st gen Pixel XL.
This path is like rabbit hole, sure you feel great, but you rarely get better phone afterwards. I had Lenovo a6000 and it was amazing for flasing, very easy but you rarely get better results from the one given to you, and back in the day the community was more vibrant about flashing, now you will get literally a rom done by only 1 person.

Pick and choose wisely... A good custom rom allows you to change things and eek a little bit more life out of your phone without utterly destroying your hardware. I rooted a Droid Eris and (ab)used that poor phone for 4 years.
My Pixel is coming up on 3 and I'm just now rooting it. It runs better than it ever has before. I will grant you that Custom ROMs are very much YMMV!
