Spicy Peppers is not super secret (yes I know Scott like to argue this point) it is an automatic grant to anyone that gets Thai.
Not quite automatic. There is still a selection process. One of the reasons that I gave up Spicy, the key reason, was when I found out that people I had been talking about couldn't see what I was saying because even though they were above Thai, they were not granted Spicy status. There was good reasons for it, but just because you are above Thai does not mean you will get that status. Most do, or did traditionally, but not all.
It is entirely automated. there is not a selection process. Things change, it has been automatic for more than 5 years.

That's not what I was told.
It is what I was told. Either way, he is an exception to most things and of course any admin can preemptively block any user from any group on any forum. That does not make an automatic thing a selective thing.
If it did, then I could claim that you selectively allow all of us on ML to have access to every category.

Yeah, that was a real site for a while. But we didn't make it for a year or two after that. It was like "worldsdumbestitpro.com" or something like that. But eventually once there was ML, we just quoted and screen shot his stuff here instead.

If you have a simple network this will work great. in fact for non-IT home users, it is a great solution.
But for anyone with half a clue in IT, this is a horrible solution.
