Rackspace email

Rackspace is nothing like GoDaddy. We supported them for a really long time. Used to be great. All of their products are nearly pointless now. It's enterprise mail though. Like O365 not like GoDaddy

I have one client that user Rackspace email. It works well enough. They offer calendar and contact syncing, but only if you pay for it, another $1-2/u/m.
The SW pricing I last heard of was $1/u/m, but this customer is paying $2/u/m, Toss in the cost of ActiveSync and you're at near the cost of O365 hosted email. Toss on another $1 and you get the lowest level of SMB O365.

It's still $1. They've never rescinded the offer and have reiterated it many times.

That definitely makes it cheap - I think cheaper than any other hosted, provide your own domain name solution. Definitely cheaper than both Google (business) or O365 (business).

But it's not on par like it used to be, either. You don't get ActiveSync in that price and RS support has been garbage for years now. So it's not safe to use like it used to be.

What kinds of problems with support are you seeing? My one client that uses them, has been there for 4 years and had no server related issues. This client has never suffered problems because of the server (that we are aware of), but they have suffered issues with Outlook's IMAP connector, and sync issues.
As for the price, we've discussed this years ago as well. $1 for no ActiveSync vs $2 with ActiveSync is still 50% the cost of Hosted Exchange (inside O365). Percentage wise, that's huge!
One thing I don't know is what, if any spam filtering is included in RS's solution. If there is none, $2/u/m is pretty common spam filtering price, and now we're on par with MS and Google for hosted email.

Unresponsive, unable to fix their own systems, have outages and unless you yell and scream they just ignore them. It's quite bad.

Yes, of course it's included. And it was way better than O365's last I knew.

Good to know. Thanks, Scott. Took me long enough to reply. Haven't been online in any forums much at all.

AWM is getting better, native ActiveSync and Interop with Exchange Server Farm for migration. An ok deal at $4/box but for $2/u/m more you get AWD bundled. 50g mail, 200gb file sync per user.
No commits, metered usage, had SPAM issues in late 2015 but 2016 Amazon really cleaned things up. Its what they use internally for their entire workforce.
Deploy from your own AWS account and send Microsoft a big @#$% you for trying to own your customers.

Rackspace's email is decent, but seems to only work really well if your users are all happy being constrained to web only.

The last time I used to web client it was horrible nearly unusable in my opinion

Been a while, but the last time that I used it it was vastly superior and more responsive than Outlook or OWA. They might have changed it, though.

It might have been more responsive (OK O365 is kinda slow sometimes, does irk me), but the RS interface was ancient and just horrible looking.

And that makes it unusable?

A bit dated but totally usable.

To me it does - just like O365 and Skype are unusable for you, but clearly usable for millions of others on the planet

They've cleaned it up a LOT! but as you then said - it's dated (but so is gmail - though I think gmail has a newer interface available).

Yes, but because people can't reach me, has nothing to do with it being pretty.

What do you mean? That's the same interface that we used in 2010. When did you test it and how old is your info? I've never seen an older Rackspace interface than that. I think this one goes back to at least 2008.
