Can You Get to the Spiceworks Community?
-
Community site is working for me, but it's slower than normal.

Yes I am not able to get to the community either.
Holiday DDoS attack? There's no telling.
It'd serve you southerners right for having it on the wrong day
Horsepuckey!!!! We get a 4 day weekend! Family stuff Thursday, recover Friday, Friendsgiving on Saturday, recover on Sunday.

Still down here, might be regional.

Maybe [moderator's name deleted because he probably has people watching this enemy site] has pissed off the wrong gray hat...

I'm not able to get the community either, I was on the site just a short while ago.

OH yeah, fifteen minutes ago I was posting. Then I went to respond to @Coloradogeek's latest post and it never brought up the response window. So it was like one minute after he posted that they lost networking to me. I had two other windows "opening" to different threads at the time that he posted and neither of them managed to open. I've got the three tabs in a failed state right now.
-
Community emails just came out, so something is online now.
-
Looks like we are coming up on something close to 45 minutes?
-
Bah. I was wondering if my post made it or not. It's not been a good couple of weeks for me here, so Spiceworks isn't immune either apparently.

Your post definitely made it. I was able to read a good portion of it and went to start replying and.... that was that.

If they have people watching this site. It is a waste of resources. Although I am sure plenty of cronies will do that on their own time for free.

I was GOING to respond to your very bottom post about how you had been looking for a new position where you would have a chance to learn from other people. Your tone made it sound like maybe you were left all to your own devices at this new position?

I know for a fact that they do have people watching here. Probably volunteer, but still. Take it from SW enemy #1.

55 minutes, still showing as down here.
-
I'm sure it's probably coincidence, but around the time I noticed SW was seemingly offline, my local Spiceworks instance decided to become unresponsive. Now I'm trying to solve that mystery as well.
-
@NetworkNerd It's not coincidence. Many of the community elements, including the sign in package are part of ma-Spiceworks.

Not coincidence, the local installs depend on the mothership. It's public knowledge that they are tied together.

Sign in is likely what is causing delays.

Over an hour now.

Man I feel bad for them. Can't imagine the panic over there right now trying to get it all back up. Good luck guys!
