Cool - I do need some new monitors at home..

        Only bad thing

HDMI and DVI (with HDCP) and VGA inputs

I really want a Display Port native one.

I do not think I could go back to a pair of 22's after having a pair of 24's for the last 6+ years.

I had two 27" just before giving up on the desktop back home. Loved it. That's a driving factor for wanting to buy a house overseas (meaning over here) so that we can have a desk again. This all laptop all the time stuff is for the birds.

I used to have 3 27" monitors on my desk at home. It was amazing. I now have 1 50" TV that I use. Not that amazing.

Funny but.. I am okay with one monitor, love two and find three a little overwhelming 🙂

I have three on my desk now. Two are connected to my main system, and I have a repair station has keyboard/mouse/power/internet/monitor for the third monitor.

I don't think I could go to a pair of 27's and still fit all three on my desk.

Plus at 27, I'd want something higher than 1080p resolution.

                          Mine were 1600, not 1080.

For me it actually depends on the size of the monitor. Anything under 30" I want 2 of em. At 32" 2550x1680 my entire view field is nothing but monitor at a comfortable viewing distance. My current setup at home is a 2k 32" and a 24" on a swing arm. The 24" doesn't add much functionality besides being a really good reference so I'm not having to constantly alt-tab out of games to lookup information. At work I've got 2 22" which seems to be the most usable space I can keep track of. (Yeah, not so much multi-tasking at home.)

2 x 22'' at work, plus 11'' laptop screen. But I have been considering replacing the dual monitors with a single 27'', on the grounds that I currently have 4.1m pixels (2 monitors at 1920 x 1080 = 4.1m) and the 27'' would have 3.7m pixels (2560 x 1440), so I wouldn't be losing much data. I think dual 27'' (or anything bigger that 27"would be too much.

I run two 24" and one 17".. the 17" is for IM and such. the other two are email, remote and everything else.

You'd be giving up 720 pixels of width, that's 1/3 of your width... that would be very hard for me to live with. Especially since I use FF with tabs on the side, not the top.

2 Monitors. Secondary has a KVM to switch between my desktop computer and my server (worried about potential latency while gaming on my main monitor).
