@scottalanmiller Yes. I am offsite and I have an inexperienced tech there but I don't want them to setup the box. They won't know how to do the RAID and LVM. I could talk them through it but I really don't want to.

openSuSe install options...
Is there a way to redirect the x11 at boot so you can actually be on a remote machine selecting the install options? I thought I read that somewhere but I haven't been able to find info on it. I think I might be using the wrong search terms.

RE: Enterprise wireless access control system
I would go with the edge Routers over the USG.

RE: Korora Desktop Rollcall
I have it on a Toshiba, and my daughter is rolling with it on a Dell E6410. We are learning Python on it.

@aaronstuder That's actually a nice looking terminal. If only the download were working.
I had to make sure I was downloading from Sourceforge, I had to choose that and not use their default download button or else it was going to take 12 hours.

RE: Why Free Open Source Software Is Cheaper Than You Think
Usually what the argument against Opensource comes down to is they don't want to have to learn new ways of doing things. It is change and people don't like that unless someone holds there hand. As a line from a favorite song says "Do you really need a genius to teach you Garage Band?"

I have no problems finding apps for my Linux Desktop. What are the apps that everyone can't find for Linux?

RE: Looking for indoor & outdoor camera
I don't believe they have a 360. But at the price of their cameras you could get the job done with multiple cameras at the fraction of the cost of a 360 camera.

RE: Looking for indoor & outdoor camera
I have used Ubiquiti Cameras a lot. Their first gen stuff was bad. There Second and Third Gen stuff is awesome. Their NVR Software keeps improving.

First off the driver got out without any injuries. Second I had to deal with driving in the backup caused by this. That is how my morning started.

RE: Popular YouTube Tags, Topics in 2013-2016 and Future of TV
I don't know if youtube itself will kill broadcast TV but I think a combination of things will. I am not a tween, nor am I a millennial, however I do have teenagers and they have found good content on youtube that we do watch together now. I cut the cable a long time ago with Netflix and then with Amazon Prime. If there is a show on one of the networks that I do want and they are not on Netflix or Amazon then I just buy the season. Still cheaper.

RE: $450 Desktop Challenge
I will do a build later tonight once I am off work. I will do a build with an AMD FX-8300 CPU. That is 8 Cores. I love those processors. Cheap and good performance.

RE: 2FA - when required by your vendors, do you stipend your staff?
Why not buy them some cheap Android Tablets. I mean you can pickup some really cheap ones, less than 50 bucks. As long as they are on the wifi then they use those. You have total control over the 2FA devices that way.

RE: Quitting Vi
My daughter's first laptop that she got here recently was Korora 25. I then pointed her to this site https://vim-adventures.com/ and she learned VIM as a game. Her and I are going through a Python class together.
