sorry about that - let me check and see if there is a way to stop that happening. Or get a fix in so that it doesn't make you register every time.

RE: Spiceworks let go 12% of their workforce today
There's some other people that voluntarily left before the layoffs were announced, so I hear.

@RAM. I think that is one of those games I bought but haven't had a chance to play yet

RE: Issue with Webroot
I sent this thread over to some of the folks here, so I'll go bug them for a response.

I use the combination of both, and works really well. Plus https://unchecky.com/
exactly what I use as well. PrivacyBadger will break some sites but you can turn it off selectively.

We've got a web filtering service that you can try out:
http://www.webroot.com/us/en/business/products/web-security/Yeah and is that price per seat or 29 for the year ....
It's per seat per year - it's a full proxy that routes all traffic, and you can lock down people's machines so they can't turn it off. That way you know the work laptops will be safe even when they are on the road.
There is a discount for MLers and SpiceHeads, and I can connect you to the sales person who can give you the discount.

RE: New Privacy Policy at EverNote
The only thing I can think of is that they had the retraction ready to go at the time the made the initial change.

RE: Are you in the 2% or beyond?
I beat 2048 in a day - but I'm a veteran Threes player, and that is a much harder game.

If that is the case, that almost makes it worse... like they wanted to see if they could get away with it, but knowing they wouldn't.
Stranger things have happened
The positive possibility is that there were two factions in the company, one wanting the change and the other cautioning about the disaster. The compromise they came to was to float the balloon but have a plan b in place for disaster. The cynical possibility is what you describe; and attitude of "let's see if they buy it but if not here's the retraction".

@scottalanmiller I bet they're regretting letting Tom Limoncelli leave them for Stack Exchange right about now

Zero emissions, except for a small amount of methane :)
Now that my wife got a job in Denver, we needed a second car so we could both commute to work. Found a nice 2013 Leaf that a dealer had left in inventory and got a good deal on it. Between that and the tax credits, half the car is already paid for
It's a perfect commuter car, and I'm really digging driving it and all the geeky features. Until an affordable Tesla comes out, this is the next best thing:
