So I have been playing this game for a few months now...

There are a few versions but my favorite is the one directly there. There are others on the site, including the numbers version and an interesting Fibonacci Sequence edition I beat but don't enjoy. It's got a very different feel...

Anyways, the site says that only 2% of people who have played it, up til now, have beaten it. It took me about 40 hours (why that long I still don't know) to beat it the first time. Now, if I play more aggressively and don't shoot for the long game, I can beat it every time to K. Principle is you combine 2 As to make a B, two Bs to make a C, so on and so forth til you get one K. Well, a classmate from high school posted on Facebook a few months back (when this all started) about this game, which I had been shown a little while before that by a close friend of mine. Originally, I played it, got frustrated and stopped. This time, I set out to beat it...except after I beat it, he mentioned he'd got to 2^12, or an L. Well, that spurned me to get to L. I get to L routinely now.

After I did a little factoring in my head, based on game patterns in character spawning, the size of the board, etc. I determined you can get to M. Well, after months of playing and trying and probably hundreds of hours, I have the proof in the pudding!

That was end game. M, or 2^13, on a 4x4 or 16 square board is, what I believe, to be the absolute highest you can go. It spawns a B sporadically too, in with the As, which throws you off a lot. I still have not been able to replicate that M, from last week or the week before, I forget, but challenge anyone to match me or my score. When you combine two As (A=2^1), you make a B or 2^2, so 4 points. That's how the game is scored. Pretty neat.

I like it because I can watch a show, play the game and be surfing here or Facebook or whatever, all at the same time. Last thing...the game places cookies on your computer, so if you close your browser, reboot, or whatever...as long as your cookies are still okay, you can literally pick back up where you were. Pretty neat. They have apps too for iPhone and Android @scottalanmiller....:P

P.S. Those weren't the same game. The strategy to beat the game is fairly simple, once you know it. I'm not giving any hints, and NO GOOGLE/YOUTUBE LOOKUPS!

I beat 2048 in a day - but I'm a veteran Threes player, and that is a much harder game.
