I don't need to read an essay to understand probability. The probability of a single SQL server suffering from physical failure is the same regardless of whether or not other servers share the same box.

If I get in a car, the probability of me being in accident does not go down the more passengers there are.

Why would you be licensed twice? Unless you need Office in more places than just the RDS sessions?

Oh I understand. I have not personally used winflector. It looked interesting with their claim of not using RDS I figured it was a workaround MS licensing.

Probably just a clever way to get people to assume that. Not the first company to bank on that exact process.

@Dashrender you'd download the recovery iso that they provide and point it to the backup you have.

This would pull in all of the files etc from the backup and restore it.

And not directly an answer, but SAS drives are not almost identical to SATA drives in price, but handle random access more efficiently. If they are basically the same price, always get SAS.

Cisco network assistant does stuff like this for smaller setups. Not sure if it works with the fake cisco/SMB SG Line though.

I don't don't doubt that and running 2 to 3 years of QuickBooks at the same time doesn't help. The Tax software in question is also a intuit product so there is another strike.

I would be perfectly ok with continuing to try and find the problem if the user was some what willing to help but all we get is push back that they don;t have time to let us resolve the problem. I seriously her husband who is in IT had her do something to the PC.

I use @BradfromxByte too.

Hopefully you find a lot of good resources here. It's very active and friendly.
