Are the mods going to have to sensor FIPS soon?

Well, I'm going to FIPS the FIPSing FIPS out of that FIPSer.

I'm working on switching away from Cisco ASAs to Juniper SRXs. I was actually surprised by how inexpensive the Junipers were relative to Cisco. JunOS is proprietary, but it is very readable, and they learned a lot from seeing how IOS does things poorly (oh how I love rollback 0). It is based on FreeBSD.

What do you guys think of this Gaming PC build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/wirestyle22/saved/BbmK8d

Do you have another HDD? 120 GB will vanish in about 4-5 games. I would upgrade that above most anything else.

Do you need an optical drive? If yes, will you need the versatility of a Blu-Ray writer?

I have a 120 GB SSD currently, seems to work for me (could just use the old one and new one). Don't need a blu-ray player. One thing I don't have listed is a 4k monitor. Any advice on that?

It really depends on budget and how much you care about fidelity and refresh rates. I haven't bought a monitor for gaming in at least a decade, but I get these for work: https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-24-236-399.

@Kelly I think of an ISR as something the ISP provides as part of the service.

I found one of the units you were describing on Amazon for $383, most seem to be closer to $1,000

It's interesting that juniper has any interest at all in that market. It looks like something an IT guy would buy versus a CPE.

I understand you now. Comcast did install a Juniper router for their gear when they brought in fiber. That said, I do (mostly) like these. They need some work on their documentation, but the CLI is a dream compared to IOS.

How valuable is an exchange cert going to be generally with everyone moving to hosted solutions?

Not terribly imo. If you're interested in working for the military you might be able to find an Exchange job, but they're getting fewer and further between. I had a SysAdmin job up that was mostly Linux and macOS, and at least half of the applicants were Exchange admins.

That is my train of thought as well. I'm trying to determine an educational path currently

If recent experience is any indication, Linux admins are currently in very short supply in the SMB market.

If you can't get professional experience with Linux, that is a good time to focus on getting a cert. LinuxAcademy is fairly reasonably priced.

Let me give this another go, and see if I can be any clearer. There are people out there already doing the things that will be normal for everyone else in 5-10 years (especially SMB since it generally takes longer to filter down). I want to hear what they're doing and why. Maybe it is the State of the Art discussion, but having only one voice speaking makes it narrow because of human limitation. Maybe what I want doesn't exist.

@Kelly @coliver Def don't like TCG's at all. I like LCG's because you don't have to deal with rarity increasing costs. Games like Magic cost so much money to get into it's stupid. I'll research some of these games. Appreciate the info!

You mean having a single conference speaker on a topic rather than a round table type thing?

Round table would be fine. I'm not biased for or against. I'd just like to hear what forward leaning organizations that see IT as a competitive advantage are doing to keep that edge. The specifics of my comment about the State of the Art is that while you are forward leaning you are one person and are thus limited in perspective.

I know a lot of players don't like the idea of legacy games, but there is something really cool about knowing that you have irretrievably altered your game. That what you are playing now, no one else will likely ever play. And I like the idea of persistence, that the actions I take in this game will affect me in future games.

I like the concept. but isn't the replayability lost on some of these games?
Pandemic Legacy. How many times can you replay?

You can't replay it, but it takes between 12 and 24 plays to complete the game. I don't know of too many other games I've gotten that much play out of.

What is your DFS queue size? If that isn't replicating properly you could be hitting your DFS queue max instead of a page file max.
