HP response time

Dell are a bit better than everyone else, but everyone is falling apart.
The only exception is a local vendor in the UK I like, they do whitebox systems, with warranty, on site engineer, ect.
Price is a bit more than the HP/DELL systems, but they come with no bloatware, no malware, installed as you want, put together really nicely.
Have you considered buying Microsoft Signature edition devices? They are full retail, come with the manufacture's warranty, but come with no crapware on them. MS buys them from the vendors, and cleans them up.

The choice is very poor in the UK, it might be better in the US market.
The whitebox vendor can beat that price, for better spec, with a pro OEM license, for £150 less.

@gjacobse apparently I can moderate your reply..... IE Delete it...
I wonder if I became a mod overnight...
Odd... I have the option as well. (in SW)

On a laptop? Cool! MS is probably getting killed on the taxes side, so assuming it's apples to apples, and not some no name whitebox laptop...

A whitebox laptop.... hrm...
I wonder.

It's not Apples to Apples, I am specifically talking about non Hp/Dell/Lenovo and talking about whitebox machines
They've lasted as long as the branded equivilants
The price is a bit more, but the benefits are bigger.
The support value is huge.

I've never dealt with whitebox laptops, desktops sure - and personally no thanks, but I'm glad you're having good luck with them.

Still no contact from HP

You would think that they would be aware that people would be discussing every case of them not responding. None of this kind of stuff ever stays private any longer.

I really don't believe in dragging things out like that but when it comes to the vendors.
Received an email from HP at 17:41 Friday, apparently they tried to contact by phone, was told to send an email to support quoting a case number.
7 Business days since contacting support, no sign of it being sorted quickly, It's actually cheaper now to buy a unit from another vendor/reseller and get a refund on this unit.

Several years ago when I bought a laptop from BestBuy - that is what I did. They had it to replace the hard drive which was failing (I had Chat logs from the Maker to validate) - but BB just had to do their own thing... They lost it in their own storage to be shipped to the repair depot...
Since it never got shipped, I got a store credit and went and bought direct from DELL..
I have taken a risk in buying from BB ... but thus far has been good.

Still carries on...

Wow, that is just crazy!!

Spoke to someone else at HP.
Straight up return & refund now. Ordering a machine from somewhere else.
Laptop hopefully collected on Monday.

Oh this is hilarious.
Seems I have the only review of HP online store on trust pilot.
