T minus 1 hour until weekend begins....
What timezone / shift do you work in that you're free to go in an hour?
Eastern time... but I only work a half day on Fridays (I make up the hours by staying later M-Th). 2.5 day weekends all the time!!!

Youth basketball the entire weekend.

Going to begin investigating real estate outside the city limits. An acre or two of forest and a double wide is growing more attractive the older I get. Other than that, probably fishing somewhere.

I don't recall this but it sounds like something I'd suggest.
I'll investigate places to open a soap factory post haste.

I can't believe you don't remember this from that one time. I'm supposed to steal the liposuctioned human fat and you're supposed to find the venue.

The fountains of bullshit I spew occasionally overwhelm even myself. I'll get on this pronto my friend.

Back from Salina Turda. It sucked.

So my initial reaction was pretty much spot-on.

@johnhooks Yup, LOOKS cool is the key word there. So we aren't sure if the stuff in this picture actually existed. There was no way to get to it if it did and no directions on how to get there. Most of the cool stuff there was closed or maybe never existed, who knows. What did exist was a cheap carnival stuff like you'd get from those traveling shows that go to small towns in the US in the summer with a fried dough stand and a cheap $5,000 Ferris wheel and such. Super cheap. And only fun for little kids. And the only way to get there was walking down more than fifteen floors of treacherous stairs that kids should not be on. And then you are stuck with fifteen floors to climb back up. And if the stuff in that picture really existed, you could not find out until you had done all of that and, if there was a way to get to it, it would have been at least ten more floors of stairs.
Imagine a five year old climbing down and back up 25 floors (for 50 total) of stairs just to use a cheap playground and Ferris wheel that for all we know didn't even exist!! Its' ridiculous.
They advertise an elevator, but they don't operate it. So the stairs are the only access. And the pictures make it look way cooler than it is. Once you look closely, the stuff in the picture isn't interesting. It's just the lighting that seems neat.

There's not really anything there

There is really a salt mine. And some cheap junk at the bottom of 15 floors of stairs that no one that would care about what is down there would be safely able to descend, let alone climb up again.

Ah I didn't zoom in on the pic, I thought that stuff spun around or something. I see it's just wood benches and such. That said, I wouldn't mind the boats. I've always found that fun, but that water looks too dark to be pleasant.

Yeah, it looks impressive till you lean over the railing and peer at it. Then you realize it's pretty much just a joke. Too bad, lots of potential.
