Weekend Plans

My Mom has to work Easter, she is a nurse. I don't have my kids, my wife doesn't have hers. My sister and her family are going to her in-laws, so it will just be me, my wife and my Dad. So my wife is baking deserts, I am smoking a chicken, and smoking hamburgers. My Dad is making up a few things and we are going to relax.

I'll be helping move the last of my GF's stuff to my house Saturday, then we'll be eating ham and watching kids hunt eggs on Sunday.

Ready Player 1, opens this weekend. I am going to see it. Everything else is secondary.
I'm still waiting for the book to become available at my library before I see the movie.

I liked it. It deviated from the book but if you step back and look at it as an adaption of the book you will like it. Just realistically for a movie somethings had to be changed. Also there were trademark issues that I am sure they just couldn't overcome.

You always have to do that. Anyone that doesn't will never like anything.
It is not possible to tell a story the same way on two such divergent mediums.

Yep, rather majorly diverted from the book. I really can't see a movie being able to tell the full story that the book did even more than normal with this one @JaredBusch.
Almost forgot, yes, go see it. I think it retains the themes/feeling from the book, but it's really nothing much like it.
