Connecting MS Office to Flickr
-
I just discovered that you can connect Office 2013 to Flickr so that you can insert "online pictures" directly from Flickr without having to organize them on your PC first. Such a cool feature. I've only tried it with PowerPoint.
-
Pretty cool - Maybe it's high time I set up a Flickr account.
-
As an major user of Flickr, I think that this is pretty sweet. I have like 12,000 pictures in there!
-
That is cool! I haven't tried that (saw it but haven't tried it)

I spent 4 hours sorting photos in OneDrive last night... we have a flickr free account, but I rarely use it.

Why use OD instead of Flickr? Flickr's image handling is amazing and perfect for sharing.

amount of storage space.
After our Europe trip a few years ago my wife wanted an online place to put pictures that she could easily share with anyone online. she found flicker. but was limited to something like 1 Gb or whatever it was, she ended up making at least two accounts because she didn't want to pay for storage online.
Since then, and on my own I've started using OneDrive, and even pay for an upgrade to 50 or 100 GB of space. Music takes up more space than anything else.. and I'm considering ditching that - I rarely if ever listen to it... and a service like Spotify might just be better... now if only I could turn it on and off as I wanted to use it... less than once a month on average I'd bet.

I thought that Flickr was 1TB for free!! I have 12,000 images and am nowhere near the free limit.

From their site today:
Never delete a photo again
Get 1,000GB of free photo storage. We’ll even help you automatically backup your entire collection. -
Whoops I was wrong.. not Flicker.. it was Photobucket.

Oh yeah, that stuff isn't so good. Flickr is a pretty amazing service. I've been on it for over a decade now, I think. It's been wonderful.

I still pay for my Flickr account although I have no idea what, if anything, I'm getting for my money.
I used to like Flickr, but I've hated nearly all the changes they've made and I now think it's crap. The iPhone app is now bearable, I suppose.
I would certainly never call it amazing or wonderful!

They had some dark years. System is returning to glory now, I think.
