The biggest news in this corner of the world is that the FALCONS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!
(I don't follow sports very closely, but you gotta be happy when your traditionally mediocre home team goes all the way).
Birds are playing a sport now?
Yes, they are. And apparently, they are sportsing harder and playing sportsball better than most of the other teams.
Who are the Falcons sportsing against in the Super Bowl?
My Patriots!! Hoping Brady gets his 5th ring.
Come on, y'all should let us have just one.... Atlanta sports teams never win anything.
Any other year when the Pats are not in it. This one is important in a lot of ways.
P.S. Matty Heisman is awesome and we like him up here. BC alumn.

Their descriptions of the problems seem plausible. We'll see if this puts them back in the good graces of consumers. I for one and looking forward to the Note 8... Codename: Fire Extinguisher, ha ha.

I'm probably going to go with an iPhone for my upgrade tbh. I made that decision before any of this happened though.
-
My phone is still in relatively good shape and works decently. My battery is starting to go though. (Note 4 ~2 years old, I think).

Gotta feel a little bad for them. Regardless, they already lost my business after years of being Samsung loyal. 80% of my phone choice is dependent on removable battery, headphone jack, and SD card slot. Might go LG next round - the V20 looks like a pretty fun phone to nerd out on.

I too was worried about this, but I haven't had a real issue of it with my Nexus 6P. I use a portable power pack, problem solved.

Yup, even worse than 2016.

One person dies and it's worse?

It's a big one and early.

Or, you know, it is reality.
Generally, people are born, live awhile, and then die.
Just because so much of the masses know these names does not change the number of people that die.

This. I found the whinging on social media during 2016 about who had died to be very tiresome. The "2016 is a terrible year because Bernie didn't get elected and <famous_people> died" comments. If you haven't thought about a person in 20 years, don't know them personally, and they die, you don't get to make a production out of how much you miss them.

Actually 2016 had fewer than average for a year... of really famous people.

It was an 80 year old woman, that was almost certainly not known personally by anyone here (always possible).
She happened to be an actress that became famous.
She died.
Story over.

I think Scott was lumping the election in there with it. That alone is like all the deaths of 2016.
