@donaldlandru it's amazing how it is all common sense.

For it being "common" sense it sure isn't very common.

Common sense is only common if taught commonly

      See: Critical Thinking skills.

I think all users have the "door effect" @scottalanmiller mentioned. Only in most cases the "door" is a computer!

I don't know either. A quick search and I think this might be it https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-walking-through-doorway-makes-you-forget/

And this is why open concept is such a good and bad idea... trying to remember everything in one big room. . . Would drive me insane.

Biologically this would be a relatively new affect on Homo sapiens. There aren't that many natural doorways in the natural world. Of course they did also talk about other ways that your brain resets changing tasks etc.

Why does microsoft insist that the loopback address be included but not as the first entry of DNS? Don't we all set the first entry of a domain controller as itself? Trying to understand the reasoning considering loopback would be more reliable

Loopback will work when some other things have failed. Fewer moving parts.

So what is their reasoning in this scenario or is there just none?

@scottalanmiller Actually I just found it. Apparently if you have loopback as the first address it can have trouble finding it's replication partners.

So do you guys put the loopback as the secondary or tertiary DNS entry?
