What are you listening to? What would you recommend?

Yes, but Coldplay will never be viewed as a "classic" band like Journey. Also, are those numbers adjusted for inflation?
Firstly, why not? Who gets to say whether a band is classic or not? I bet in the sixties people assumed the Rolling Stones were just a fad that would be quickly forgotten. No-one would have predicted that they'd be selling millions of dollars of concert tickets when they're in their seventies.
Secondly, the figures are unit sales not dollar sales.

Journey is still popular but their peak popularity was during an age where the world was not so connected yet. For a car to have a cassette player installed in it when Journey was at their peak was a big deal! That being said, I get where you're coming from, but I don't think you can quite compare it as apples to apples.

What does inflation mean in regards to albums? I'm not sure what you are picturing.

I misread the millions in sales in terms of units as dollar sales. My mistake.

@thanksaj Oh those would be small numbers then. At their peak, Abba was the largest exporter in Sweden, and Sweden is not a small economy.

LOVE ABBA! Great band!

I just remember listening through the ABBA Gold album at least a dozen times growing up! I had a short, but significant ABBA phase. Besides, Mamma Mia was their music, but I can't hold them accountable for the acting, etc.

That movie is awesome.

How can you love Abba and skip the Abba musical?

It's been more than a decade since I went through my ABBA phase.

That sounds like a Muriel's Wedding problem.

You need to watch more classic cinema. One of the most important Australian movies ever.

I think I can be forgiven for missing an Australian movie...

Not really. It's a standard of classic 90s cinema. As mainstream in US cinema going as in Australia. Spawned a pretty major Hollywood actress. Published by Miramax (Disney.)

Never heard of it, although the lady on the far right looks familiar.
It's the one in the middle that is famous.
