Everything I'm seeing is a GPO is causing this.

So my guess would be gpedit on the local "server" (a windows 10 box, right?) and confirm that "logon locally" is allowed.

allow logon locally already has the user in question.
and it's not in the deny log on locally either.

Is any of the core networking offsite (vpn or cloud)? If it's a domain and your DC / DNS is in the cloud or offsite and accessed over a VPN I could see this happening

Specifically from the local GPEDIT version from the looks of it.

Damn - I was hoping this would fix my issues with access the NAS from the Desktop. Other Windows 10 works fine. Just this one. Previous threads on the matter...

All I know is one of these fixed it - .

                              HKLM\system\current control set\services\CSC\ start = 0

                              HKLM\System\Current Control Set\Services\NetBT\Parameters\UseNewSMB set to 0

                              Uninstalling reinstalling NIC

Un/installing the NIC allows access via IP,.. more than I had previous. I'll try that the first time the next time it happens.

                                Thanks.
