I can see this be useful in a programming class where a teacher can help students with their code.

NextCloud 15 Beta 2 is out.

@jospoortvliet points out that this release is mostly about under the hood and app improvements. Not a lot in the way of things to "see" other than simply a better experience. Sharing is supposed to get an upgrade.

Microsoft has revealed that some users of its Office 365 and Azure clouds may have been unable to access the services since late Monday afternoon, Australian time.

just to be clear, this is basically an open source cloud version of office, at least in function? If this is the case, and it is integrated into NC, would it only be the web based view of NC?

OnlyOffice has desktop and mobile clients, as well.
