Small medical office, currently using QuickBooks. What do you recommend they look at instead?

Literally anything else? Sorry that's less then helpful. Have them look at https://www.xero.com/us/.

@CraigElliott just retired as CEO of Xero, actually. NTG uses Xero, it's a great product. I know that the largest bookkeeping firm in Manhattan swears by it.

Wave is really good if you need fewer features. And it is free.

Do any of these QB-alternatives allow you to print physical checks? It was my understanding that they didn't.

Printing checks is so basic, I can't imagine anything doesn't support it.

Yes, either blank check stock or preprinted stock. @scottalanmiller said in Quickbooks replacement: Why would they not allow that? IDK. My memory could be faulty but I thought that was a limitation when I last looked into alternatives for QB.

@scottalanmiller said in Quickbooks replacement: May not be the same package, but I recall one package that did print payroll checks but not checks for other purposes.

Maybe that's something that QB lists as a feature hoping that people will think something else doesn't have it

Not finding anything online that indicates it will print checks for A/P. Found reviews from several years ago that confirm this. Didn't locate anything recent though.

WAVE does not print checks yet but it is on the future list.
